ABBOTSFORD COUNSELLOR

A Safe Place to Be Heard

Healing begins when we have a safe place to share our story, be truly heard, and begin to understand what hurts, what we need, and what is possible.

A Journey Shaped by People

I am a Clinical Psychotherapist with a Master of Divinity in Clinical Counselling from Tyndale University, and I bring more than 20 years of experience walking alongside people in different seasons and circumstances of life. Before becoming a psychotherapist, I worked as a teacher, school principal, and Pastor of Spiritual Formation. Each of these roles has shaped the way I see people and has deepened my passion for understanding what is beneath the surface and helping people move toward meaningful change.

Throughout my years in education, leadership, and ministry, I have had the privilege of walking with people through seasons of pain, transition,  relationships, personal growth, and ministry burnout. These experiences have taught me that people often need more than answers or advice. We need a place where we can be honest, understood, and supported as we discover a healthier way forward.

Counselling for the Whole Person

In counselling, I draw from evidence-based approaches such as Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), somatic approaches, and Solution Focused Therapy (SFT). I believe that effective counselling makes room for the whole person, including our thoughts, emotions, bodies, relationships, and experiences.

As a Christian psychotherapist, I welcome the opportunity to integrate faith into counselling when it is meaningful to you. I believe that our relationship with God can be an important part of the healing journey, and I offer a space where hope can be brought honestly and without judgment.

Who I Help

I work with individuals, couples, and families who are navigating depression, anxiety, ministry or ministry/work burnout, relationship and marriage struggles, separation or divorce, life transitions, emotional wounds, and other difficult seasons of life. I also work with people who feel stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply long to understand themselves and their relationships more deeply.

Come As You Are

My hope is to create a warm, compassionate, and welcoming space where you can come as you are, without having to pretend that everything is okay. Together, we can listen to what your story is telling us, understand the patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and explore a path toward greater freedom, connection, and hope.

I offer counselling in English and Arabic, and I would be honoured to walk alongside you in your journey.
